Short breathing meditation guided by Nereyda
Meditation saved my life.
I began meditating in 2017 while reading Patience: The Art of Peaceful Living by Allan Lokos.
At the time, I was simply trying to learn how to be more patient, but meditation quickly became something much deeper for me.
It carried me through one of the darkest and most difficult periods of my life just a year after.
Through a meditation practice, I was able to reconnect with my inner light, find clarity, and learn how to move through and eventually out of the place I was in.
In many ways, meditation saved my life.
Since then, meditation and prayer have become consistent, grounding practices for me. They have changed my life in profound ways in ways that I could write a book about.
Over time, I felt a strong calling to share this practice with others so they, too, could experience its healing and transformative power.
I began guiding meditation for groups and individuals while living in Hanoi, Vietnam, in 2019. It started unexpectedly when my boss volunteered me to guide a meditation during a team-building meeting. Nervous but excited, I agreed. The feedback I received afterward, along with the feeling I experienced while guiding others, sparked something in me.
Soon after, I started my own book and meditation club, primarily serving the expat community in Hanoi. I felt deeply called to help others access peace and moments of stillness within themselves, knowing firsthand how life-changing that connection can be.
When the COVID pandemic shook the world, I returned to California and continued guiding meditation in both group settings and one-on-one sessions through Zoom and FaceTime. During that time, I completed a 100-hour Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Training with Dharma Moon and David Nichtern. As the world slowly shifted again, I returned to guiding in-person group meditations at spaces such as The Night Owl coffee shop in Fullerton, Tanka Farms in Irvine, BOTI Studios in Anaheim, The Healing Circle in Huntington Beach, and other privately owned studios.
Currently, I guide others through one-on-one meditation sessions and create guided meditation videos on my YouTube channel, Nereyda Ramirez.
I guide meditation in almost all of my events as I strongly believe it can bring us into the moment in an instant.
